Refresh is still buzzing, despite the recession. Lately we have been creating online shops, online survey systems, websites, movies and more.

Sister Lilian Remedies

Sister Lilian Remedies, produced by Vital Health Foods, is a range of homeopathic products for mothers and infants. Refresh, together with Imagine Advertising, designed and developed a website to showcase the Sister Lilian product range. The website includes an online shopping cart, as well as a remedy finder to help you find the right products for your child’s needs.

SASHA (South African Studies on HIV on Adolescents)

SASHA - Newsletter Image

The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, which is run in association with the University of Cape Town, commissioned Refresh to build an online database for their surveys. This application is able to generate the original paper forms online, ensuring there is synergy between the data-capture screen and the paper versions of the surveys. Anna Grimsrud, the data manager, and all of us at Refresh are very happy this complex project has gone live.

MCSA (Mountain Club of South Africa)

MCSA - Newsletter Image

The Mountain Club of South Africa is a non-profit organisation promoting activities in the mountains. Refresh designed and built the new Cape Town section website using the Joomla framework, with lots of Google applications plugged in. This site will eventually hold an extensive database of information and will be rolled out for other MCSA sections soon.

Liquidité Capital Partners

Liquidité Capital Partners is a Swiss-based fund management company with a focus on managing private equity and high-yield income funds. Refresh designed the corporate ID and built the website for this company. The site was built in record time (in one week) and rests on a Wordpress framework.

Unfinished Business

Unfinished Business - Newsletter Image

Unfinished Business – our extreme sport movie – is finished and has been sent off to the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Canada. This 23-minute mockumentary was made in 6 months and was worth every bead of sweat and every tear. The premiere is coming soon… Let us know if you’d like a copy of the DVD (only R50, including packaging and postage).

The Refresh store-room is looking quite full these days, in spite of a recent burglary. Equipment that extends our arsenal of video tricks includes:

- An infinity curve for product shots;
- A green-screen for interviews, allowing us to drop in any background;
- A custom-built dolly that runs on 7 metres of tracks, allowing us to create tracking shots;
- A second broadcast-quality HD video camera with a fish-eye lens for extreme wide-angles.
