… and I missed it. Anyways, here goes.
On the 16th of May 2008, Chris (AKA Nommereen) wrote the first post on this very blog entitled “Websites from the 3rd Dimension“. Over the months to follow, Chris wrote interesting snippets for the daily consumption of all who are creative, “original” (whatever that means these days) or, frankly, slightly left of centre. These posts included topics such as typography, matrix chairs and design by animals. Remember what I said about “slightly left of centre”?
Anyways, so as the months progressed and the blog filled up with content, I began writing posts from a more “techie” approach, discussing technology, the internet and social media. This balanced the design and more visually creative posts. A few of the first posts include “Naming the b(r)and” and a post on the launch of Gmail’s themes. The writing team was now diverse, consisting of myself, Craig and Chris, writing about various topics, including the TED talks and the InvestRight project that Refresh developed for Old Mutual.
Since the blog’s early days, we’ve gone through a few layout and design tweaks, as well as a design refinement and revamp towards the end of last year. Here’s to many more years of awesome content, comments and developments. Thanks to everyone who has commented, posted or worked on this blog and its developement.
