To those outside of the “TV games” generation of the late ’80s and early ’90s (yes, that includes you PlayStation and Xbox lot), the “Konami Code” might sound like something out of a Dan Brown novel. In actual fact, it is nothing of the sort. The Konami Code is a key combination that you’d punched in on your TV game keypad (remember those Nintendo game controllers with Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B, Select and Start buttons?) This combination, introduced in games created by the Konami gaming company, would unleash a “special move” or a “cheat” skill (think of games like “Mortal Kombat”, for example).
The Konami Code, as it has come to be known, has found its way onto the web. I stumbled upon this website, which allows the user to view the website only once the Konami Code has been entered.
Try your luck with the Konami Code. I’ll leave it to you all to figure it out (hint: visit Google or Wikipedia and search for “Konami Code”). Alternatively, leave a comment and I’ll post the key combination in the comments section.
