Browser (in)compatibility… the great conundrum
Posted by Matt.

So…”browser”, you say?

The internet is one of the fastest - if not the fastest - growing technologies today. Millions of users around the globe log on every day for various reasons… anything from checking email and surfing forecasts, to connecting via social networks, to working for a company several hundred thousand miles away.

Browsing the internet requires an internet browser, which is where the conundrum comes in…

The story thus far…

Internet users are spoiled for choice when it comes to browsing tools… Options include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome, to name but a few. Because each of the above browsers works differently, one website can look different in each browser, sometimes drastically so, causing a nightmare for web designers and coders worldwide.

Hmmm…how do we deal?

In an effort to create a more uniform browsing experience, and to aid users that may be unaware of their browsing options, Vertua Studios, an American-based design studio, created http://browsehappy.com/. BrowseHappy explains why, and what other options there are other than Internet Explorer to enhance and secure your browsing experience.

If BrowseHappy tickles your fancy, point your internet browser of choice to Save The Developers.

    @Craig Good point! :)

    < geeky note >
    Google Chrome sports an awesome new Javascript environment (V8) allowing for smoother, faster execution of Javascripts on the client side, as well as a more controlled error trapping facility, which only closes the tab that created the error, as apposed to sacrificing all your open tabs.
