Freshen up the face

Brands could be considered living entities: they are born, have a personality, undergo make-overs and, sometimes, they die. One way to keep your brand alive and kicking is to make sure its style stays up-to-date with the times. This involves the redesign of the logo and various other vehicles of communication. In trying to freshen up your brand, it is possible to get it wrong and go back a step. This separates the good designers from the great. Matt found a list of good (and not so good) brand redesigns.



There definitely seems to be a few trends going on there. One of them being, simplification and subtle re-arrangement of the logo elements.
Numbers 13 and 35 are pretty drastic…wow!
