Artistic Influences

As a graphic designer, you need to know a lot about colours and shapes and their relative symbolism. You also need to be able to visualise ideas and graphic concepts. A good way to exercise your mind to achieve visual accuracy is to draw or sketch objects. It’s irrelevant whether the objects are real or not - it’s far more important that you are able to translate the idea in your head into a tangible graphic. The work of Evan B Harris is a great example of imaginative ideas turned into tangible graphics.
